Maps of The Ridgeway

The Ridgeway Trail is now shown on Google maps, in six sections that are a day's walk each. Google Ridgeway map These match the full route description in the official guidebook for The Ridgeway by Anthony Burton. Click here to view the map

Sustrans has a guide map of the Wantage-Didcot area that is useful for walkers as well as cyclists.

The National Trails site also kindly has a list of fresh water taps and toilets on the route.

The one printed map we know of that covers the entire route is Harvey's Ridgeway map on a 1:40,000 scale. There is also an A-Z booklet of The Ridgeway containing 1:25,000 scale OS maps, with more detail. Both are excellent guides for walkers who intend sticking to the main pathway.

There are also several OS maps that each cover a section of the Ridgeway, with surrounding details.
